Hi everyone! I'm really happy about the people who showed interest in the welcoming committee. I know I've been a little slow getting it set up, and I apologize for that. Normally, leading things like this isn't my thing, but...

[Anyway.]

So. Now that we have a place to meet, when would be a good time for everybody to have a meeting? We could talk more about our ideas there - I think it would be more interesting to bounce ideas off of each other, too.

For everyone that hasn't heard about it yet, me and a few other people here in Somarium want to get a welcoming committee started for all the new people here. Anyone can join if they want to! If anyone has any questions about this, or about Somarium in general, I'd be happy to answer them.

So I guess I finally went into one of those sleep coma things, huh? Seems like I missed a lot, actually.

[He laughs now, maybe a little nervously.]

I've been trying to look for you guys for a couple days, so I guess I need to do this now. Haseo? Atoli? Where are you?

You know, I've been thinking. It was kind of fun to be a tour guide, here. It reminded of being back in The World! After I...was able to remember it, that is.

[He shakes his head.]

Anyway, I was wondering...there are a few noobs--I mean, new people here, right? Is there...something like a welcoming committee for them? If there is, I'd be very interested in joining!

I mean, all the new people should feel welcomed here, right?

[Personality]

First and foremost, Silabus is a nice guy. He will go out of his way to help most people, and make sure they have absolutely no questions before he’s satisfied. That’s actually how Silabus first met Haseo – he constantly bugged Haseo about helping him, dragging him through the motions of being a “noob”. The attempts that Haseo took to get him out of it, Silabus just shrugged off as roleplaying. Often he kept talking to Haseo, giving explanations even though he was refused. It wasn’t until Bordeaux confirmed that Haseo was definitely not a noob that Silabus finally believed.

Considering all that, to other things, Silabus is kind of gullible. Once he trusts someone – which doesn’t take much – he’s more than likely going to believe most of what they say. It was how Haseo kept him away from the things that happened in The World. Once he was told not to worry about it, usually he did just that. There were moments where he was worried about Haseo, of course, but there wasn’t a whole lot he could do.

Silabus is not usually a fighter. It wasn’t really his goal to be really strong and powerful – he just wanted to help new players, work in the guild Canard, and hang around with his friend Gaspard. It wasn’t really on his list of things to do to go out and get stronger on the battlefield. So when Haseo asked him to fight in the arena with him, it did take a little bit of persuasion but he also can’t say no to his friends either. Even though he didn’t particularly like it, he wanted to help Haseo because it was something that he wanted to accomplish.

In addition to that, Silabus is very loyal. He’ll do anything for his friends, and whatever upsets them upsets him too. He’ll try to make things right as much as he can, because he just wants them happy. All the time. Even though Silabus knows that there are bad things in The World, he’d rather just keep his friends in the “happy, sunshine and rainbows” corner of it.

Speaking of The World, he is obsessed with the world. He’s on it as often as possible, and even owns the portable device so that he can play the world on the go. How you would do that is BEYOND me. Or, he wanted it rather. It was pretty much his whole life – though he does admit to doing some volunteer work outside of it. Surprise surprise.

So how does someone get on Silabus’ bad side? Generally, they don’t. He’s very tolerant of most people, unless they’re someone that hurt his friends. Then he’ll get angry. He can tolerate people picking on him, but Gaspard? No way.


[Abilities]
Silabus is a Blade Brandier, which means that he uses a smaller, one handed sword in combat. He’s actually pretty fast in battle as well, though he doesn’t really seem to care for fighting much. Some of his abilities are as follows:

Sword Flash: Pretty self explanatory. It’s an attack where he quickly lunges forward to strike at the enemy.
Ogre Sword: Another quick attack that strikes the enemy.
Lateral Moon: An attack where he lunges at the enemy, striking in an upwards motion.

Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual?
Who, me? No, I don’t think so! I don’t really care for power much, to be honest.

Someone comes to you to ask for the time. How would you respond?
I’d give it to them, of course.

What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why?
Friends are really important! I think it’d be pretty lonely to live by myself all the time.

You discover someone stalking you. Do you call the police or deal with it yourself?
…I don’t think anyone would stalk me, but I guess I’d ask them why they’re doing it.

If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be?
I try to help all noobs in need!

Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life?
I think I’d rather have a peaceful life. I mean…adventure’s okay every once in a while, but not all the time. You know?

You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why?
I’d help my friend. I don’t want them to get hurt, and I’m sure with their help we could find the person responsible!


[Third Person]

“Well. There really is no version of The World here, huh?” Silabus asked, curiously flipping through the Dreamberry. Of course it was hard at first to not do it, but this place was kind of like The World in a way. It had “events”, though they weren’t exactly good events. And they also had new people coming in all the time.

--But they didn’t exactly choose to be here.

“It’s really not like The World at all.” He chuckled, and put the Dreamberry on a nearby table. In spite of it being a strange place at times, he still liked it here. Atoli and Haseo were here after all, but he couldn’t help but worry about Gaspard from time to time. What was he doing? Were the other players bullying him?
Gosh, he hoped not. Still, he wished he could do something here—

“Oh, I know!” Oh, he had a great idea! “I wonder if they have a welcoming committee for the noobs here!”

He could do that! Maybe he could convince Haseo to lead it, too! This was going to be great, almost like being in The World all over again!

Taking the Dreamberry once again, he picked it up and started to call Haseo. He thought it was the best idea, and he couldn’t wait to see what his friend thought. Atoli, too. She’d have to be next, after all. But he knew she would totally be up for it.
